The official opening of S-COOL 2026: a first chance to meet the organisers, get familiar with the venue and receive all the practical information you need to make the most of the weekend. Families taking part in The  Treasure Hunt should be there at 16:30 for the initial briefing.


17:00–19:00 — The Great Treasure Hunt

Who: Families · recommended for ages 8+

A  treasure hunt full of clues, challenges and plenty of movement around the campsite.

An energetic, fun and engaging way to kick off S-COOL!


17:00–18:30 — “The Heart Route” – Family Workshop

Who: All family members 

Location: Willow Area, near the lakeshore

(unnumbered area on the map; follow the S-COOL signs)

A calmer, more creative alternative to the Treasure Hunt, designed for younger children and for families who would like to slow down, create and share something together.


Through playful and creative activities, each family will make a special postcard dedicated to their own “place of the heart”: a place, a journey or a memory that has left a special mark.


20:00–21:30 — S-COOL Night Live

Who: Everyone

Fun quizzes, Talent Show performances and a short space dedicated to real homeschooling stories and experiences from the community.

A positive, engaging evening to bring everyone together, have fun and get to know the S-COOL community better.


21:30–22:30 — Teen Space

Who: Ages 12+

An hour just for teens, with games, challenges, prizes and an easy-going atmosphere designed to help everyone break the ice, meet new people and make new friends.

A packed morning of activities including slime, team games, art, tie-dye and much more.


What to bring

Each child must bring ONE white or light-coloured item to personalise with tie-dye: a T-shirt, socks, shorts or any other suitable garment. Clothing is not provided by the organisers.


09:30–11:00 — Dads’ Club – Starting with a Coffee!

A relaxed space for dads who already homeschool, are considering it, or simply want to understand the journey better.

Questions, shared experiences and genuine dad-to-dad conversation, led by Sergio Quagliarella, an experienced homeschool dad with many years of direct experience in home education.

A practical session focused on the questions families ask most often about home education.


We will explore:

- how to get started;

- different ages and stages;

- family organisation;

- adolescence;

- exams;

- learning pathways;

- everyday homeschooling life.


There will also be plenty of time for participants’ questions.


11:30–13:00 — Tailors for a Day: Stories & Embroidery

Who: Children aged 4–8

With: Diego & Lucia

The session opens with the telling of the Brothers Grimm fairy tale The Brave Little Tailor, brought to life with figures and images that introduce the workshop. Afterwards, the children will work with jute fabric, using simple sewing and embroidery techniques to create their own landscape.


15:00–16:30 — The Legendary Ping-Pong Tournament

Who: Children, teens and adults

Location: Tournament Area · 6

A friendly tournament open to all ages, for players and enthusiastic supporters alike.

Grab a paddle, test your skills and join the fun!


15:00–15:30 — Fire: Techniques, History & Lighting

Who: Children and families

With: Simone Itri

Meeting point: Near the bar area

Activity location: Grassy area near the lake, at a safe distance from tents and other structures

Cost: Free


How do you make a fire without matches?  After meeting near the bar, the group will head towards the lake. Simone will introduce the children to safe fire practices, the materials used, and ancient fire-lighting techniques, ending with the most fascinating part: watching fire come to life simply through the friction of wood.

A guided circle and practical workshop dedicated to homeschooling.

Bring your questions, doubts and personal experiences. We will listen to other families, compare perspectives and explore practical ideas together in an open and constructive atmosphere.

An hour of football designed especially for younger children, with the focus on playing together, teamwork, movement and fun.


17:30–18:30 — Homeschool Family Circle

Who: Parents and children

Location: Restaurant Area · 4

This time, the conversation opens up to the whole family.

Parents and children can share how they experience homeschooling from their different points of view, listen to each other and exchange experiences with other families.


A space designed to give a voice not only to adults, but also to the children and teenagers living this journey every day.

We round off Saturday together with a family quiz and the S-COOL Talent Show.

A light-hearted evening full of creativity, talent, fun and community spirit.

Music, dancing and celebration to finish Saturday together.

Children and teens can display and sell things they have made, built, cooked or carefully selected. Useful second-hand books and clothes are also welcome, but this is not a clear-out sale.


Prices should remain affordable and child-friendly.


Important

Please bring your own table, mat, chair or anything else you need to set up your space. Tables and chairs might not provided.


Those who arrive first will be able to choose their preferred spot.


TIME TBC — Campsite Train Adventure

Hop aboard the campsite train for a fun family ride around La Badiaccia.

Exact departure times and the meeting point will be announced during the weekend.

11:30–13:00 — AperiARTE for Moms: Paint, Sip & Relax

Who: Moms only

Location: Workshop Area · 23

A little time just for moms.

An aperitivo, a canvas, colours and paintbrushes: an hour and a half to paint, chat, meet other homeschooling mums and enjoy a creative moment entirely for yourself.


No artistic experience is needed: canvas and materials are included.


12:00–13:00 — Little Readers’ Circle

Who: Young children and families

With: Diego

Location: Near the Willow Area

A calm little moment dedicated to younger children. Diego will lead a relaxed reading circle where children can listen to a story together, unwind, and share a pleasant moment before the afternoon activities.


15:00–16:30 — From Waste to Music: Build Your Own Instrument

Who: Families with children aged 3+

Location: Willow Area, near the lakeshore

Music, creativity and recycling come together with Sergio Quagliarella.


We will discover the musical possibilities hidden in materials destined for the bin, transforming recycled materials into drums, string instruments, wind instruments and brand-new sound makers. A family workshop where parents and children can explore sound, rhythm, creativity and imagination together.


15:00–17:00 — The Big S-COOL Five-a-Side Football Match

Who: Ages 10+ and parents

Location: Football Field

The final sporting challenge of the weekend.


Children aged 10+, teens and adults can take part, and parents are warmly encouraged to join a team. Expect competition, cheering and, most importantly, plenty of community spirit.

🏠 Accommodations (mobile homes)

Late check-out is available at 12:00 on Sundays.

We ask you to respect this time exactly (not 12:30 or 13:00).
The campsite must clean some accommodations for any new arrivals from 4:00 PM.

Punctuality is essential to ensure proper organization.

⛺ Pitches

They can be vacated on Sunday evenings without any extra charge.

Those leaving on Monday morning will pay for the day at the discounted rate reserved for the event.

Access is possible with a daily ticket:

PITCHES: The campsite offers pitches of various sizes, suitable for tents, campers, or caravans, for families with children and pets vacationing on Lake Trasimeno. The pitches, created by the natural arrangement of the numerous poplar trees, are all well shaded and individually serviced by free 4-amp power outlets. Two large, free private parking areas are available to our guests.

BATHROOMS: Three bathroom blocks, two of which are new, built with eco-friendly and energy-saving criteria in mind, offer innovative solutions in a luxurious and practical setting. They offer children's bathrooms, a nursery, professional washers and dryers, private bathrooms upon request, bathrooms for disabled guests, and free hot water for everyone.

    The updated program will be posted on the dedicated Telegram group. Generally, there will be a welcome and treasure hunt on Friday afternoon; children's workshops and meetings for adults on Saturday; a disco night for teenagers on Saturday (smart attire recommended); a children's and teenagers' market on Sunday morning; and a general meeting and greetings on Sunday afternoon.
